CHAPTER I

INTRODUCTION

 

1.1 Company Profile

Etymologically, the word art comes from the Sanskrit language, namely Sani, which means worship, offerings, and service. In other words, art is closely related to religious ceremonies which are also known as "arts”. In general, the the notion of art is an expression of human feelings that has an element of beauty in it and is expressed through a medium that is real, be it in the form of a tone, form, motion, and verse, and can be felt by the five human senses.

Art is the skill of making quality works (in terms of refinement, beauty, function, form, the meaning of forms, etc.), such as dance, painting, carving. Art includes many human activities in creating visual, audio, or performance works that express the imagination, ideas, or technical skill of the maker, to be appreciated for their beauty or emotional strength.

Finally, seeing the social conditions we decided to make paintings from the trash that would be recycled again. Materials to be recycled can be plastic, leaves, cans, and broken glass.

 

PT. IndoArt Creative is a company engaged in the arts. PT. IndoArt Creative was founded on July 10, 2012, this company has been running for 8 years. This company already has several production locations, namely in Jakarta, Bandung, and Jogja. We made this shop in several regions because of the high demand in these locations.

 

PT. Indoart Creatives sells items such as paintings, carving plates, and others. Our company is very famous for recycled paintings, where the rate we get is 70-90% from our buyers aged 35-65 years, but age does not guarantee old or young, many young people like recycled paintings especially for those who are lovers of art. There are many kinds of paintings in our company, but the ones that are often bought are the Koi Fish paintings made of broken glass, which many people say that the koi fish is believed to be a symbol of success.

 

1.2 Vision and The mission of the Company

Vision

·         Making it one of the best companies and a thriving business in the area of waste that will be recycled back into the art of painting.

Mission

·         Opening opportunities for marketing handicraft products at home and abroad.

·         Help product development from recycling waste to painting that is of interest to many people.

·         Fostering small and medium-sized handicraft businesses in carrying out export procedures and increasing trade promotion through exhibitions/bazaars and trade missions.

·         Opening a worker business for unemployed artists.

The company's goal was to use waste to make paintings so as not to appear monotonous.

            For our target market, we are more focused on mothers and fathers. Most of them prefer unique paintings because not many sell paintings with recycled materials. Especially for those who like painting, recycling the trash makes it more attractive

1.8 Business Analysis

            1. STRENGTH

This company is located in several cities, namely Jakarta, Bandung, and Yogyakarta, this company has a strategic location that is easy for consumers to reach.

            2. WEAKNESS

Even though this business is relatively cheap and easy, getting good quality waste or garbage is still very difficult. So that the craftsmen sometimes have problems in finding raw materials.

            3. OPPORTUNITY

Many materials can be recycled into materials that can be processed again, because more and more people throw out recyclable waste such as plastic.

            4. TREAT

1.      What are the advantages of PT. IndoArt Creative?

-         Can take advantage of waste that should be thrown away but this can be recycled to become an art.

2.      Why choose trash as the main material for making paintings?

-         I take waste material for recycling because it reduces pollution due to garbage dumped into the river, the garbage that was previously thrown away but here the garbage can be used to make painting art.

3.      What items can be recycled from this waste?

-         From plastic waste, we can make paintings made from plastic waste, and it can be sold at a fairly expensive price.

4.      How is the process of producing it?

-         Every time we want to make a painting that we will make, of course, we collect materials that will be recycled and we choose again whether it is suitable for use or not. If it is suitable for use, we immediately clean it one by one.

5.      What is the price of the painting starts from the cheapest and to the most expensive price?

-         The cheapest price is around Rp. 50,000 and the most expensive is around Rp. 40,000,000

6.      Who is the target market of PT. IndoArt Creative?
